I graduated from Waterloo University with a Bachelor of Science and Honours in Health Studies in 2000 and from the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine (CCNM) in 2005. Since then I have been practising full time as a registered naturopathic doctor in the city of Vaughan. I believe that good nutrition, mental well-being and fitness are the foundation to optimal health but sometimes life becomes hectic, and our healthy lifestyles are the first to go. In my practice I use a combination of lifestyle counselling, clinical nutrition, traditional chinese medicine, acupuncture and botanical medicine to help patients get back on track. When bad genes are expressed, despite a healthy lifestyle, and disease ensues I find that the combination of both naturopathic and conventional medicine is more effective than the use of one treatment alone. I practice integrative medicine rather than "alternative medicine". I have a special interest in hormone imbalances including but not limited to thyroid, female, male and stress hormones. I have a lot of experience treating women with painful periods, irregular periods, PCOS, endometriosis, fibroids, poor libido, sub-fertility, prenatal and postpartum issues, lactation problems and imbalances in peri-menopause and menopause.
