Is a hard 3cm growth behind the ear dangerous?

I just noticed a hard 3cm growth behind the ear. I would like to know if it is dangerous?

The growth could be a number of things. It could be as simple as a blocked pore or inflamed sebaceous gland, it could be part of the body structure of your skull that you just haven't noticed before, it could be a lymph node or it could be a cyst. Any unusual growth should be investigated, however, as you need to rule out anything serious or dangerous (it is impossible to say without seeing you in person and perhaps pursuing lab testing). I would highly recommend seeing a health care professional to have it assessed.
