California poppy is a natural analgesic and sedative. Our clinical trials showed that the combination of California poppy with a natural anti-inflammatory like Devil's claw can effectively relieve low back pain. These patients were not taking any pain medications; only herbal remedies.
You should talk to your doctor prior to taking California poppy in combination with percocet or any prescription pain medication. The physician may want to slowly wean you off the percocet or even use a lower dose of percocet in combination with California poppy. To do this the physician will need to know the dosage of California poppy and what the potential drug interactions are. CuraPhyte Technologies sells a California poppy product called PAVOSIC. It is sold behind the counter in pharmacies and requires the prescription from a health care professional like the physician or pharmacist. You can find information to show your health care professional by printing the information on the website: www.pavosic.ca . I recommend that you talk to your health care professional about your desire to use California poppy. If they want more informaiton than is available on the pavosic.ca website, have them contact me via email at gchamberland@curaphyte.ca or via phone at 438-823-4293. We have a professional monograph that is provided to health care professionals on request and it gives all of the informaiton required for them to decide if it is appropriate to take California poppy or use it as an adjuvant to your current pain medication.
