Hi Penny. Your weight is in the normal (healthy) range for a person of your height. However I do understand that you may want to firm up a bit for the summer. The first thing I recommend is that you keep a food diary and get an accurate count on the number of calories you are consuming on a daily basis. For fat loss, a person your size would need about 1200-1400 calories per day (however I would "cycle" your calories by consuming more once per week). Next, remove all fruit juices and other simple, refined carbohydrates. Drink water, green tea and organic black coffee. I would also recommend substituting the cow's milk in your diet for unsweetened coconut milk or even unsweetened almond milk. Increase your protein intake to include a protein source with each meal. Consume half your bodyweight in ounces of water daily. Supplement with 2-5 grams of fish oil per day in divided doses.
