I am allergic to fish/fish oil pills but would like to get the benefits from them. Is there any substitute?
Hi. The best plant based Omega 3 sournce is chia seed, which you need to grind and you need to eat at least tablespoon a day. Be sure to take a multi vitmain to get all the co-factors Omega 3 needs to convert to the form we need a humans. Butter from organic grass-fed cows and organic eggs have a good amount of essential fatty acids in the form we need as epople. Spirulina or cholerella which are types of algae also have the form we need but the amount is not high. Assuming you do not need fish oil for therpaeutic purposes, then eating a combination of these sources is more than enough to help you have levels to keep you healthy. Flax oil or ground flazseeds are another soucre but they are not as stable as chia and do not convert as well but are still worthwhile consuming.
